Amish Style Monkey Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 or 3 tubes of biscuits (10.5 oz each)
- Cinnamon sugar 1/2 cup Brown sugar, 1/2 stick butter, roughly 1/2 cup maple syrup or pancake syrup
Instructions:
-
Open the tubes and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.
-
Put biscuit pieces into a buttered angel food cake pan, and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
-
In a small saucepan, mix together brown sugar, butter, and syrup. (the more syrup, the juicier!) Heat until boiling, then pour syrup mixture over the biscuit pieces. If you use 3 tubes of biscuits, you will want to pour 1/2 of the syrup mixture on 1/2 of the biscuit pieces, then add the rest of the biscuit pieces and the rest of the syrup.
-
Bake for 10-15 minutes. Take out of oven when golden brown. Turn pan upside-down on a plate. Get a fork and dig in!
