ELKHART - The 2025 edition of the Quilt Gardens and Quilt Murals will be bigger and better than ever with three sites joining this one-of-a-kind attraction that is Elkhart County’s signature event.

The Elkhart County CVB announces there will be 16 Quilt Gardens and 12 Quilt Murals for residents and visitors to enjoy when this celebration of community spirit, quilting heritage, natural beauty and creativity opens on May 30, 2025. The new Quilt Gardens in 2025 will be:

Additionally, Wellfield Botanic Gardens, 1011 N. Main St., Elkhart, is returning to the Quilt Gardens after a one-year absence because of its expansion project. Wellfield Botanic Garden’s new Quilt Garden location will be just to the left of its new Visitor Center entrance.

“We’re excited to welcome all of the new Quilt Gardens and the dedicated volunteers who will be caring for them. The Quilt Gardens draws tens of thousands of visitors every year to the Elkhart County area, creating memories with their friends and families and spending money at our local businesses,” said Jon Hunsberger, executive director of the Elkhart County CVB.

Shipshewana is returning to the Quilt Gardens attraction after an absence of multiple years with one outside The Farmstead Inn & Conference Center, and the other at Weaver Furniture Sales.

“Shipshewana welcomes thousands of quilters and gardeners annually to the heart of Amish Country each year. We’re looking forward to inviting and welcoming even more by participating in the Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail project,” said Sonya Nash, executive director of the Shipshewana/LaGrange County CVB. “The newly formed Shipshewana Garden Club, led by Levi King, is filled with enthusiasm for adding to the beauty of this charming place.”

The Quilt Gardens and Quilt Murals are all located along the Heritage Trail, named one of LIFE magazine’s most scenic drives. The Heritage Trail is a 90-mile guided audio tour that connects Elkhart, Bristol, Middlebury, Shipshewana, Goshen, Nappanee and Wakarusa in an engaging experience packed with quirky stories, historical figures and cultural heritage.

The Quilt Gardens and Quilt Murals is pleased to welcome back each of the returning locations for the 18th year of a one-of-a-kind arts exhibition that has earned awards for excellence from the Indiana Tourism Association and the American Bus Association.
