Coppes Commons

It's fitting that handcraftsmanship till thrives in this historic furniture factory that dates back to 1887. The "Hoosier" kitchen cabinets made here were shipped throughout the country and put the tiny town of Nappanee on the map.

Today Coppes Commons houses a welcoming collection of locally-owned shops that feature baked goods fresh from the oven, bulk foods, popcorn, hand-woven rugs, custom tea blends, fabrics, books, and antiques.

Be sure to check out the Countryside Shoppes showcase and the on-site museum then indulge in cream smooth, flash-frozen ice cream made before your eyes or some red velvet whoopie pies.
