Description: Andrew started making sculptures in Elkhart County and was inspired by the world around him. With this sculpture he tried to capture the Midwestern combination of industry and natural beauty, both of which exist in the same space. This sculpture is entirely made of found objects. He started with a general concept and idea in mind and looked for things that he thought could help make the idea a reality.

About the artist: Andrew has lived in the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest and now the Midwest and has always been surrounded by beauty, but never had more success than with visual art. Found object sculpture forces Andrew to be creative and that is the only medium that represents his vision.

Description: This piece was selected to display in Elkhart County because for Sunday, it represents the people who occupied this land before us. This sculpture is a tree trunk and has patterns that are rooted in cultures from around the world, most significantly the patterns of native peoples who once occupied this place.

About the artist: As an artist, Sunday enjoys exploring every aspect of art, such as artwork that reflects African culture and lifestyle. He works primarily with found metals and upcycled materials, and mostly the work tends to hold beauty alongside humor and functionality. Sunday is a metal sculpture/painter and enjoys welding and creating art in various shapes of metal and steel as well as aluminum.
