In the whimsical late 1960s, with the birth of the Maple Syrup Festival, Louie had an epiphany—a confectionary masterpiece that would become synonymous with celebration: Jumbo Jelly Beans. A hundred pounds vanished like magic at that first festival, igniting a passion for sweetness that still burns brightly today.

Now, generations later, The Wakarusa Dime Store stands as a beacon of nostalgia and delight. With over 75 tons of jumbo jelly beans sold annually, we continue to weave the threads of tradition and innovation, offering a taste of yesteryear to every visitor who walks through our doors.
