Four large county parks offer open-air and enclosed shelters, all located close to recreation and river activities. Bonneyville Mill County Park has 223 acres of gently rolling hills and open meadows along the Little Elkhart River. The historic Bonneyville Mill - Indiana’s oldest operating grist mill - provides a scenic backdrop for get-togethers. Ox Bow County Park offers hundreds of recreational opportunities, nature trails, and shelters with a river view.
The historic River Preserve was once the site of early mill operations and offers outdoor facilities including two open air picnic shelters. Cobus Creek County Park offers a beautiful modern facility, sensory garden, playground, trails and meandering trout stream.
