Where: Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, 17746-D County Road 34, Goshen, IN (near Gate 2 entrance)
Why: Most of the 17 Quilt Gardens sites will be picking up the flowers for their gardens. Gardens will be planted over the next few days ahead of the official opening day of May 30, 2026.
Background
This is the 19th year of the Quilt Gardens, an award-winning attraction presented by the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau. This year’s edition features 17 Quilt Gardens sites across Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, Nappanee, Wakarusa, Shipshewana, and Bristol.
Quilt Gardens are free to view and open seven days a week. It is one of the most popular attractions in Elkhart County every summer, earning recognition for its excellence from the Indiana Tourism Association and American Bus Association. Quilt Gardens have gained widespread media acclaim, including coverage in Midwest Living, AARP Magazine and TravelIN magazine.

Print and broadcast media are invited to cover Quilt Gardens plant delivery as well as planting. Sites receiving their flowers will be picking up starting around 8:30 a.m. and ending by approximately 9:30 a.m. Elkhart County CVB staff and volunteer contributors will be available for interviews. For information on when Quilt Gardens will be planted, updates will be available from Terry Mark, Elkhart County CVB director of communications and public relations, at the fairgrounds.
