Buffalo New York native John Kennedy Kane has traveled the US and Canada as a professional circus performer for over 35 years.

He joined the Clyde Beatty -Cole Brothers circus a week after graduating from High School where his crowd-pleasing comic timing led him to create his signature clown persona, “Eggroll,” earning him a featured role with the circus.

His career continued by becoming the ringmaster for Canada’s Garden Brothers circus and numerous Shrine circuses. This led to a four-year engagement with New York City’s prestigious Big Apple Circus. His strong vocal style and bejeweled jackets earned him the gold medal from the Sarasota International Circus Festival.

He performed, as a magician for several summers in Baraboo WI., home of the Circus World Museum and, most recently, concluded a ten-year run as “Kandy Kane, The World’s Largest Elf” at Buffalo’s Christmas Festival of Lights.

He now adds playwright to his unique resume as the author of his one-man show, “My Life in the Basement”, which debuted at the Alleyway Theater also in Buffalo, New York.
