Overview

Do you want to harvest food from your garden all winter? Learn about which crops can be planted late in our region, how to protect plants enough from cold weather, and how to plan for quantities you want to put up in your root cellar, basement, or refrigerator crisper drawer. Emphasis will be on root crops and greens. Get your hands dirty by planting winter crops on their farm.

Minimum suggested course fee donation of $20. If you'd like to join class but can't afford the fee, ask about volunteering time. Open to work/trades, a win-win for all!

This is an outdoor class please dress accordingly. The farm/class site is located just north of Southgate Crossing, 27751 CR 26, Elkhart. Look for the small red shed with the Bushelcraft Farm banner!

They will be practicing social distancing and out of consideration for others, and request that all participants wear masks.
