One of the things most people associate with Japanese culture, and Japanese gardens in particular, is the art of bonsai. The word literally means “tree in pot” or “planted in container”. President of the Michiana Bonsai Club, Larry Benjamin, will teach the class.

He is an experienced Bonsai grower and will offer students a unique learning experience. At this class, you will learn how to wire, trim, and water your tree.

Supplies included: a Brazilian Rain Tree, an 8” bonsai pot and specialized bonsai soil from Japan. Please bring your own gloves, if needed. 18+ only, please.

This class will take place outdoors; please dress for the weather. Should we have severe weather, we reserve the right to reschedule; your registration will be moved.

Sorry, no refunds. Registration includes admission to the Gardens, so come for the class, stay for the Gardens!

Tickets are $40 for Wellfield members and $50 for non-members. Space is limied, and we expect a sellout! Register HERE!
