Overview
Carl Erskine is the last of the Brooklyn Dodgers' Boys of Summer and one of the great human-rights champions of our time. This important and celebrated story comes from award-winning writer and director Ted Green and includes Erskine, Bob Costas, Vin Scully, and is narrated by Charlie Steiner. Increasingly in our culture, people are looking for answers in how to create unity in diverse times, how to navigate difficult circumstances, and how to love those who are marginalized. Carl Erskine was an incredible athlete at the highest level, but he is an extraordinary human rights champion off the field, showing us how to live a life worth something more than individual accolades. This film is his story (including Jackie Robinson and Indiana's checkered racial history, the birth of FCA and the start of the Special Olympics), but it should inspire each of our stories as we strive to be "the best we've got."
