Silent movies are anything but silent. Transport yourself into the golden era of cinema as renowned organist Clark Wilson performs a captivating selection of the classic silent films “Chasing Choo Choos” and “The General.”

“Chasing Choo Choos” showcases a delightful journey filled with comedic escapades set against the rhythmic chugging of steam engines and the thrill of railway adventures. Shortly after, Buster Keaton’s epic masterpiece, “The General,” unfolds against the backdrop of a Civil War-era locomotive, weaving a tale of romance, daring pursuits, and breathtaking train sequences. The Kimball Organ’s resounding notes will enhance the drama and intensity, adding a layer of emotion to both of these cinematic gems.

The Lerner invites you to come aboard and experience the magic of these iconic films, brought to life by the enchanting melodies of The Lerner Theatre’s restored 1924 Kimball Organ played live during the movies. The magnificent sound of this historic instrument adds a layer of nostalgia and authenticity unlike any other.
