Head to downtown Elkhart, September 19 - October 6th, to view a spectacular Fall Flower Carpet free of charge! Nearly 7,000 jewel-toned mums will blanket Waterfall Drive, between High and Franklin Streets, with eye-popping color.
Themed to celebrate the arts, the Flower Carpet replicates historic design elements of the Lerner Theatre. Clever lighting accents enhance it for evening viewing, and a handicap accessible viewing platform gives everyone a great view.
This first-time, one-time event marks the end of this summer's Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail and ushers in a harvest of creative offerings, entertainment and a new season of excitement in downtown Elkhart.
On October 6, 4pm - 7pm, the gorgeous mums potted in one gallon containers will be sold to benefit the Elkhart County Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters to help make a difference in children's lives. Now that's flower power! Speaking of containers, if you want to move to another place, maybe another country, let ABC containers do the work for you. You can also check out car moving companies at dasautoshippers.com for more information.
The Fall Flower Carpet is produced by the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau in a creative collaboration with the City of Elkhart and the city's Buildings and Grounds Department.
