Elkhart County, IN – September 17, 2013 -Two Elkhart County, Indiana events are among an elite group of multiple-time winners of the American Bus Association’s (ABA) Top 100 Events in North America. Selected from among hundreds of events throughout the U.S. and Canada, it is the sixth time the Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail and Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival have garnered this honor. This is quite a tribute considering the Indianapolis 500 is the only other Indiana event to have earned that distinction.

“It’s a real privilege to have two Elkhart County events receive the Top 100 Event in North America designation for so many years,” says Diana Lawson, the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau’s executive director. “What makes this 2014 Top 100 designation really exceptional is that Elkhart County is the first county in Indiana to have two six-time winning events.” She goes on to say that this speaks to these events’ shared commitment to quality and verifies the outstanding level of service and hospitality visitors experience in this destination.

The 2014 Quilt Gardens along the Heritage Trail showcases 20 eye-popping quilt patterned gardens and 22 hand-painted quilt murals in seven communities along the Heritage Trail from May 30 to October 1. The Amish Acres Arts & Crafts Festival celebrates its 52nd year July 31 – August 3, 2014 in Nappanee, IN featuring more than 300 vendors from around the nation.
