QUILT GARDENS
From May 30 to September 15 every year, super-size Quilt Gardens are planted in colorful quilt patterns, lining the Heritage Trail with even more natural beauty. It’s a love letter from our dedicated residents who pour their time and energy to enhance beauty in every corner of our community.

Amish Country home-cooked favorites are always on the menu in Elkhart County. Leave room for pie and other hand-crafted delectable sweets. From Indiana’s largest restaurant at Das Dutchman Essenhaus to mouth-watering baked goods, and everything in between, good eats await.
GETTING TO ELKHART COUNTY, INDIANA IS EASY
You’ll find us halfway between Chicago and Toledo (just a two hour drive in either direction).
Using a network of scenic limited access highways, you can arrive in less than a day’s journey from the region’s major cities and towns. We’re also close to major metropolitan areas, interstates, highways and airports. Most of the major attractions along the Heritage Trail are within a 45-minute drive of I-80/90, the Indiana Toll Road.
